About the Role
As Technical Sales Account Manager, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering and commercial strategy — advising internal teams and external clients on product capabilities, resolving technical challenges, and driving long-term customer relationships. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping customer experience, supporting product development, and achieving ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with technical and procurement stakeholders
* Provide technical troubleshooting and coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues
* Act as a customer advocate — feeding back insights to production and engineering teams
* Deliver technical presentations, quotations, and feasibility assessments
* Monitor sales performance against KPIs and support budget planning
* Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity
* Investigate customer satisfaction and initiate improvement actions
* Contribute to product innovation and optimisation
* Uphold confidentiality, quality, and health & safety standards
What You’ll Bring
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical sales role within engineering
* Strong understanding of the automotive racing industry and its technologies
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and basic product liability principles
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and multitasking skills
* Systematic, objective-oriented approach with a “can-do” attitude
* Willingness to travel and support cross-functional initiatives
