Job Description
Streamline Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established logistics business based in Thurrock. Known for their commitment to training and developing new talent, they’re now looking to bring in a Sales Admin Trainee to join their growing team.
This is an ideal role for a college leaver or someone looking to start a career in the freight and shipping industry.
What you’ll be doing:
* Accurately updating internal systems with customer bookings and shipment details
* Liaising with overseas agents to track and confirm shipment progress
* Preparing competitive and tailored shipping quotes for clients
* Providing support to the sales team, including follow-ups on warm leads
* Assisting with a range of daily administrative duties to ensure smooth operations
What you’ll need:
* Basic knowledge of Outlook (email handling, attachments etc.)
* Comfortable working with Excel (updating costs, duplicating sheets)
* Good communication skills, especially over the phone
* A well-organised and proactive approach
* Willingness to learn in a fast-paced office environment
Location: Thurrock (office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: £22,000 starting salary
