Job Description

Sales Administrator - Temporary (Ongoing temporary contract - possible temp-perm) - Wigan - £12.71 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a well established, family-run organisation in the Wigan area due to continued expansion. Forrest Recruitment Ltd are exclusively working with our longstanding client to recruit a temporary Sales Administrator to join their small yet busy sales office. The role involves managing the order process for customers and would suit a hands-on team player with accurate data entry skills. The company are going through a period of growth, meaning that there are real prospects for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, your daily responsibilities as Sales Administrator will include:

  * Handling sales order enquiries from business clients via telephone, fax and email

  * Accurately processing sales orders onto Sage

  * Entering delivery information onto carrier websites to organise shipment of goods out to customers

  * Printing of delivery labels and manifest paperwork

  * Creating Dangerous Goods Notes

  * Matching packing notes/delivery notes against sales order information and providing information to the Sales Ledger Clerk to enable accurate invoicing

  * Handling incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that customer queries and complaints are dealt with efficiently

  * Dealing with courier queries

Working Hours:

  * Monday to Friday - 8:30am-4:30pm (with 1 hour lunch break)

The company offer a modern and friendly working environment with free parking. They are looking for a confident character who has the ability to build customer relationships and work to deadlines using their own initiative. Previous sales order processing experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided on the system and the product range.
