Sales Development Analyst   The Opportunity: Do you have a pro-active manner, can spot the potential for increased sales activity, are great at market research and using the internet to fact find AND have strong data analysis and Excel skills?  Then this varied, interest, newly created and exciting role for a Sales Development Analyst maybe just the job you seek.  You will work within a well established and successful manufacturing business, seeking out and spotting opportunities for the sales team to go after.  So it’s not a sales role!  It’s a role for a Business Analyst, with good research and presentation skills, with an eye for sales….You will play a critical role in accelerating the company’s growth by identifying, engaging, and nurturing new business opportunities across new markets both in the UK and internationally. You’ll be at the forefront of market intelligence and early-stage relationship building, while helping to promote the full value proposition of the organisation. The Role: Conduct structured market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities in new sectors and geographies. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and sector insights, enabling proactive outreach and performance tracking. Create Business Plans via data analysis and using Excel to create Powerpoint presentations to present to the Board. Collaborate with the Sales Director, Sales Manager, and Applications Engineering team to craft and execute tailored outreach campaigns. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to raise brand awareness and generate quality leads. Capture and report market trends, customer feedback, and competitor movement to inform strategic direction.What you will bring to the Team: Excellent MS experience, particularly using Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT and LinkedIn Sales Navigator etc) to support smarter targeting and outreach. An ability to pick up technical information due to the nature of this manufacturing environment. Confident, engaging, and results-oriented communicator, able to build relationships across all levels. Skilled in structured market research, with the ability to translate insights into commercial action. Digitally confident, able to leverage online platforms, tools and data sources to uncover market intelligence. A self-starter mindset with strong personal organisation and reporting skills.Benefits: Quarterly Company bonus scheme – can be up to 12% of your salary!
