Business Development Manager - Step Up into Full New Business Software Sales

£35,000-£40,000 basic + £30,000-£40,000 commission - uncapped
 Fleet - Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

Software Sales ExecutiveYou have learned how to cold call, generate leads, qualify opportunities and speak to prospects. Now you want the chance to take those opportunities further and actually run the complete sales process yourself.

This role gives you that opportunity.

The step up

You will be selling an enterprise cloud document management solution directly to large end-user organisations.

Instead of simply generating a lead and passing it to somebody else, you will learn how to manage the complete sales cycle.

You will:

Cold call and generate new opportunities
Qualify prospects
Identify the business problem
Speak directly to decision-makers
Present the solution
Learn to deliver your own initial product demonstrations
Work with technical consultants on more complex demonstrations
Negotiate and close your own dealsYour typical decision-makers will include:

IT Managers and IT Directors
Business Systems Managers
ERP ManagersThis is consultative software sales. You need to understand the customer's problem and explain how the software can solve it.

Training into enterprise sales

You are not expected to arrive as a finished enterprise software salesperson.

You will receive the training and support to develop your sales skills, product knowledge, demonstration skills and ability to manage larger software opportunities.

You will join an established team including 3 new business salespeople, 5 Account Managers, a Product Manager and a full marketing team.

You will be the dedicated salesperson for this particular cloud document management solution, giving you the opportunity to take real ownership of the product.

There is an existing worldwide customer and partner network to work with alongside completely new business opportunities, including prospects in the UK and US.

Who are we looking for?

You will probably have around 2 years' software sales experience and feel that you have learned the basics but need somebody to give you the opportunity to make the next jump.

You will be ambitious, bright and prepared to work hard.

You need to be comfortable picking up the phone, prospecting and creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads to arrive.

Most importantly, you want to build a long-term career in software sales and develop into a successful Business Development Manager / Enterprise Sales Executive.

Package

Basic salary: £35,000-£40,000
 Commission: £30,000-£40,000 with uncapped earning potential
 Location: Fleet
 Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office
