Responsibilities: As a Sales Engineer, you will:
Achieve sales targets within a 12-month period (reviewed quarterly).
Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Understand customer requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.
Handle customer inquiries and ensure timely responses.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies.
Attend trade shows and industry events to promote products.
Source leads and cold call potential customers.
Arrange follow-up meetings to retain and expand business.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and products.
Negotiate terms of sales and close deals.
Provide detailed quotations and cost calculations.
Collaborate with the production team to meet customer deadlines.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment.
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proven experience in sales, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
A valid driving licence is essential for travel to customer sites.
Good Maths and English skills
Proficiency in gathering market insights and understanding customer needs.
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience with technical sales and product demonstrations.
Sales analytics.
A background in engineering or technical disciplines is a plus.
Technologies:
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with CRM systems
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and products
