Office based ( Northamptonshire) with some travel to client sites across Uk 

£30,000 - £35,000 Basic Salary + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission + Career Progression

Our client, a globally recognised engineering business supplying products and solutions to the Construction and Utilities sectors, is looking to recruit an ambitious Sales Engineer to join their growing team.

Following the successful appointment of a previous candidate into this position, our client is investing further in their sales division and is now seeking another motivated individual with the drive and determination to build a rewarding career in technical sales.

This opportunity would suit someone with sales experience, or an individual from an engineering, construction, technical, or customer-facing background who is looking to develop their commercial career. Attitude, ambition, and willingness to learn are valued just as highly as previous experience.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will receive comprehensive training across all aspects of the sales process and product portfolio. The successful candidate will be developed into a fully-fledged Territory Sales Manager, with exceptional earning potential and genuine opportunities for career advancement.

While the role is primarily office-based, there will be occasional travel to customer sites across the South of the UK, making a full UK driving licence essential. A car allowance is provided, along with reimbursement of all business-related expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Following up sales enquiries and generated leads
Making outbound calls to identify and engage decision-makers
Generating new business opportunities and developing customer relationships
Assisting with the preparation of technical quotations and proposals
Supporting the wider sales team in securing new contracts
Attending customer meetings alongside experienced sales professionals
Participating in virtual meetings with prospective clients
Helping deliver professional sales presentations and customer pitches
Learning technical product specifications and industry applications

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, customer service, engineering, or a related field would be beneficial
Confident communicator capable of building relationships at all levels
Driven, proactive and highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
Interest in engineering, construction, utilities or technical products
Comfortable making outbound sales calls and generating opportunities
Numerate with the ability to work with quotations and technical information (full training provided)
Eager to develop a long-term career within a successful engineering sales environment
Full UK Driving Licence
