The role of Sales Engineer involves engaging with customers within the construction industry to clarify requirements, preparing accurate quotes (which is the main part of this role), processing orders in ERP/CRM systems, and flexibly supporting the busiest product areas. It also includes providing basic technical assistance and handling general sales administration to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. You must therefore have experience from within the Construction industry or come from a technical background and ideally previously worked as a sales engineer.
What you will be doing:
* Work closely with the Inside and external sales teams (other sales engineers).
* Become an expert in quoting & ordering across our full range of products.
* Support in whichever product area of sales operations is busiest at any given time.
* Engage with customers upon receipt of quote requests to clarify their requirements and establish necessary return dates.
* Prepare and finalise quotations prior to sending them to customers.
* Effectively manage project margins.
* Clarify, finalise and enter orders into our ERP systems.
* Manage incoming enquiries using the company CRM system.
* General sales administration as required.
* Offer a basic level of technical assistance to architects, main contractors and end users.
* Handling/making incoming/outgoing phone calls, emails and postal enquiries to/from Architects & Main Contractors.
* Responding to enquiries or passing relevant information to the internal and external sales teams.
* Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested in relation to your role.
