Sales Estimator - Bradford - £26k - £30k
Are you detail-oriented with a knack for understanding technical drawings and a passion for delivering excellent customer service? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Estimator & Customer Support Coordinator. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where your technical skills and communication abilities can make a real difference, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Take enquiries from customers via email and telephone, gathering all relevant information such as drawings and specifications, and responding promptly and professionally.
* Understand and interpret technical drawings accurately.
* Analyze labour, material, and time requirements for each project.
* Contact suppliers for material prices and place purchase orders using our internal systems.
* Prepare and submit accurate quotes based on documentation provided, utilizing our internal estimating software.
* Follow up on submitted quotes and request feedback on unsuccessful ones to improve future proposals.
* Generate new enquiries and business opportunities through existing contacts, while developing relationships with new clients.
* Keep company records up to date regarding quotes submitted and feedback received.
* Maintain current costs within the estimating software to ensure accurate quoting.
* Work within set timescales to support production output and meet deadlines.
* Ensure all job paperwork is complete, legible, and passed to the relevant department upon job completion.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety rules and standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the shop floor.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to analyze and interpret project requirements efficiently.
* Experience with estimating software and procurement processes.
* Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of health & safety procedures in a manufacturing or workshop environment is a plus.
