Job Description
WE Talent are delighted to be working with a fast-growing business who are seeking a Sales Estimator to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with a methodical approach and strong attention to detail, who enjoys working with technical information and supporting a busy sales team. You will play a key part in reviewing project enquiries, analysing drawings, and ensuring accurate estimates are prepared to support the quoting process.
The role is 4 days office-based and one from home, working:
* Monday – Thursday: 8am–5pm
* Friday: 8am–3pm (early finish)
Duties include:
* Managing incoming enquiries via email, phone and advertising platforms
* Overseeing the enquiries email inbox, responding and directing queries to the sales team when required
* Update the CRM system (HubSpot)
* Extracting relevant project information from client spreadsheets and enquiry documents
* Reviewing technical drawings to obtain the information needed for quotes
* Supporting the sales team with background information for projects
* Preparing, updating, and revising estimates, ensuring accuracy at all times
* Researching geographical locations to support pricing considerations
* Producing and presenting quotations (competitive tenders, informal proposals and presentations)
* Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
* Proactively source new suppliers and negotiate with multiple vendors to secure the most competitive rates and terms
* Work closely across the business with the sales team, design team and wider operations staff and management to deliver an effective service
Requirements and Skills:
* Previous experience within the construction industry is beneficial.
* Experience with providing quotations/estimates/pricing is essential.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy inbox.
* Strong IT skills – proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with cloud-based systems.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
