Sales Executive – Timber Staircases (Office Based, Winchester)
£30,000–£50,000 basic salary (DOE) + Profit-related monthly bonus (approx. 10% of base) + Pension (3% matched)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned UK manufacturer with over 35 years of success supplying high-quality timber staircases and internal doors to the construction sector. Based just off the M3 in Winchester, this growing business is known for double-digit year-on-year growth, premium materials, and meticulous craftsmanship.
As part of their office-based sales team, you’ll take ownership of incoming enquiries from small sites and one-off builders
About the Role
Job Title: Sales Executive – Small Sites/One-Offs
Location: Office based in Winchester (free parking, no WFH)
Reports to: Sales Director
Travel: Minimal – occasional site visits to top customers (1 per month)
Working Hours: 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (no out-of-hours)
You’ll be working closely with the estimating and business development teams, converting quotes into orders and managing existing customer relationships.
Ideal Background
We’re looking for someone from a construction or trade-related sales background, ideally coming from timber, kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing, electrical, or general building materials. You don’t need to come from a high-pressure sales environment, but you do need to be commercially sharp, technically capable, and confident on the phone.
You should:
Be able to close and convert quotes into orders
Understand construction and the challenges tradespeople face
Thrive in a team-driven, family-business culture
