Newark, Full Time, Permanent
OTE £65,000 (Basic circa £45,000)

THE ROLE

As a Sales Manager you will lead a dedicated sales team, guiding them to success through mentorship and strategic planning and play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  * Oversee day-to-day operations, including employee relations, performance management, and training new team members.

  * Set and achieve sales targets in line with business objectives, identifying opportunities through research and networking.

  * Ensure sales executives deliver first-class service, understanding customer needs and providing accurate product information.

  * Ensure adherence to finance and FCA regulations, and manage the handover process professionally.

  * Maintain high standards in a showroom environment, ensuring products are display-ready and information is current.

  * Create and deliver sales reports, manage sales administration, and oversee department performance.

  * Regularly review team practices, identify improvements, and implement changes under the guidance of the Board.

  * Maintain effective relationships across all levels, ensuring smooth operations and clear communication of updates and changes.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Sales Manager will possess excellent customer service skills, with a keen understanding of customer needs and expectations and have the following skills:

  * Proven experience in a sales management role, with a track record of achieving targets.

  * Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous but is not essential.

  * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

  * In-depth knowledge of sales processes, compliance regulations, and market trends.

  * Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, both internally and externally.

  * Ability to work flexibly, including attending events outside of standard office hours.

Due to the nature of the business, this role will involve some weekend working.
