Sales Manager 

Are you an ambitious Sales Manager looking for the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business?

Our client based in Peterborough are seeking a commercially driven, hands-on Sales Manager to take ownership of the sales function, lead a small team and deliver an ambitious growth strategy. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys building long-term customer relationships and wants to play a key role in taking a successful business to the next level.

This is a fully office-based role where you'll work closely with senior leadership, driving both strategic and day-to-day sales activity.

As Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the entire sales function, leading and developing the team while driving new business growth and maximising existing customer opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

•	Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to achieve ambitious growth targets.

•	Leading, coaching and motivating the internal sales team.

•	Driving new business acquisition alongside growth of existing customer accounts.

•	Forecasting sales performance and reporting directly to the Managing Director.

•	Managing CRM activity, pipelines and sales reporting.

•	Developing sales processes, systems and best practice.

•	Working collaboratively across the business to deliver excellent customer solutions.

•	Building and developing distributor relationships where appropriate.

•	Representing the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

•	Taking ownership of KPIs, objectives and overall commercial performance.

We're looking for an experienced sales leader who enjoys taking ownership and leading from the front.

You'll ideally have:

•	A proven track record of delivering significant sales growth.

•	Previous experience managing and developing a successful sales team.

•	Strong strategic planning and commercial awareness.

•	Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing.

•	Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.

•	Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

•	Confidence presenting to customers and influencing decision makers.

•	A proactive, resilient and results-driven approach.

•	Experience within engineering, manufacturing, electronics or technical sales would be highly advantageous, although candidates from similar technical B2B environments are encouraged to apply.
