Are you an experienced automotive Sales Manager looking for your next challenge?

Alexander Faraday Recruitment is working on behalf of a well established automotive retailer to recruit an experienced Sales Manager for one of its busy dealerships in Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business where you'll take responsibility for leading a large sales operation, developing your team and driving the dealership towards its commercial and customer satisfaction targets.

You'll be responsible for managing and motivating a team of up to 30 people, maximising sales performance and ensuring the dealership consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.

The Role

As the Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  * Leading, managing and developing a large automotive sales team.

  * Driving new and used vehicle sales performance against agreed targets.

  * Monitoring individual and team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.

  * Coaching and mentoring Sales Executives and other members of the team to maximise their potential.

  * Managing sales processes from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover.

  * Driving customer satisfaction, retention and repeat business.

  * Monitoring sales KPIs, conversion rates, profitability and other key performance indicators.

  * Working closely with senior management to achieve dealership objectives and implement commercial strategies.

  * Ensuring manufacturer standards and dealership processes are consistently maintained.

  * Managing customer escalations and ensuring issues are resolved professionally.

  * Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of sales team members.

  * Maintaining strong standards of presentation, professionalism and customer service across the sales department.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  * Previous experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Controller or senior automotive sales professional within a franchised dealership.

  * A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  * Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing a sizeable sales team.

  * Excellent commercial awareness and an understanding of dealership profitability.

  * A strong understanding of automotive sales processes and customer journeys.

  * The ability to coach, motivate and develop a high performing sales team.

  * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  * A results driven approach with the ability to balance commercial performance with customer satisfaction.

  * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  * A full UK driving licence.
