The Role
We are working on behalf of our client to identify a high calibre Sales Manager for the Medical, Automotive and Industrial sectors in the UK and Ireland. In this role, your expertise will be pivotal in shaping the commercial landscape across the UK and Ireland. This position requires a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in machine tool sales. Sector experience may include:
* Automotive
* Defence
* Energy
* Small & Large Precision
* Oil and Gas
* Med Tech
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of machining high tolerance components crafted from a variety of materials. Your technical proficiency will be complemented by your ability to forge credible commercial proposals, showcasing the intrinsic value of products and services to a discerning clientele.
Candidates with experience in the Med Tech and non-aero Transport sectors will find their skills particularly advantageous, as these areas offer additional avenues for business development. Your familiarity with the UK's manufacturing sector and your established network of senior management contacts will serve as a solid foundation for delivering exceptional results.
Expect to spend approximately one week per month/6 weeks supporting business opportunities in Ireland, engaging with clients and stakeholders to reinforce the company's presence and influence within the region. This role is as much about technical acumen as it is about commercial agility, and your balanced approach will be key to your success.

Ideal Skills and Experiences
* 5+ years of experience in a machine tools sales role
* Intimate knowledge of the UK and Ireland industry and customer base for machining centres and tooling
* Degree or HND in Mechanical / Materials Engineering
* IT literate to produce professional quotations and retrieve relevant documentation
* Ability to work alone but also as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Proven ability to meet sales targets in a technical, capex sales environment
* Self-sufficient, with the ability to work completely independently as well as part of a close-knit team
* Highly fluent in English, able to converse technically
