Job Description

My clients are a highly successful family run company based in Blackpool and are seeking an organised, detail-focused Sales Support Lead to play a vital role in driving the success of their high-performing sales team. The main purpose of the Sales Support Lead role is to enhance overall sales performance and customer satisfaction. The role will involve streamlining daily processes, facilitating communication between Sales, Marketing, and Operations, and delivering exceptional administrative support. Your contribution will directly enhance team performance and elevate the customer experience. Duties will include: Working alongside the Sales Managers/SNAM/NAM to support the customer base. To administer work for all territories including the processing of sales orders in line with business demands. Support with sample collation and other sales and marketing tools. Attend trade shows where required. Attend customer meetings when required. To work with the Sales Managers to ensure that all customer specific data is available for all relevant departments. Responsibility for after sales support, resolving issues by speaking directly to end customers (via phone and email). Using internal data assist the sales team with daily administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations such as new line forms, photo quotes and other retailer spreadsheets Handle multiple pieces of data to ensure new customers are set up correctly and any changes in customer processes are communicated. Guide all stakeholder through the process Act as a problem solver – take on tricky tasks and work with colleagues to find solutions. Act as a link between sales support and all other areas of the business during project work and process development. For example, represent Sales Support’s views and requirements when introducing a new ERP system. Attend distribution and sales meetings to drive great communication and collaboration. Answer incoming telephone calls and resolve issues. Responsibility for the phone manager software. Use various retailer web portals globally, such as Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Retail Link, to ensure all information is correct. Also work to evaluate this data. To take an interest in the Company marketing strategy and be confident to support in this area. Raise any issues with invoicing. Management responsibility of the Sales Support Coordinator. Be an active part of the Middle Management team; representing the sales support team, giving feedback and solutions. To be considered for this role: Required skills: A confident and effective communicator with a warm, professional manner. Proven experience in administration, demonstrating efficiency and reliability. The ability to pick up tasks quickly and build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and outlook. High attention to detail – excellent level of accuracy in data handling and documentation The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Comfortable facing challenges with a positive, proactive mindset. Confident, rounded thinking and be able to take the initiative. Self-aware, adaptable and optimistic – open to feedback and continuous improvement. A can do / will do attitude, eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. Skilled at multi-tasking with excellent organisation skills and time management. Solutions driven, with a mindset geared towards problem-solving. Strong written and verbal communication, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. Experience: Essential: Experience in a similar role, not necessarily sector specific. Desirable: Knowledge of Sage accounting system Knowledge of Excel Normal Hours of Work: 09:00 – 17:00 – 5 days per week. hybrid (1-day WFH) and office based, with a 60-minute lunch break.
