Job Description

Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared Test Analyst for one of our local clients:

Up to £350 p/d Inside IR35
1-2 days a week onsite, the rest is WFH
Location is Cardiff
Must already hold SC Clearance
In the role you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of digital services. Working within an agile, multidisciplinary team, you'll focus on manual and exploratory testing to support user‑centred, secure, and high‑quality systems.

What you'll be doing

Designing and executing manual test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria
Carrying out functional, exploratory, and regression testing
Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and release readiness
Identifying, recording, and tracking defects with clear evidence and impact
Testing for accessibility, usability, compatibility, and basic security risks
Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and delivery managers
Contributing to test documentation, test plans, and continuous quality improvements
What we're looking for

Candidates must hold current SC Clearance
Proven experience in a manual testing or test analyst role
Strong skills in test design, execution, and exploratory testing
Experience working in an agile delivery environment
Ability to clearly communicate defects and risks to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Experience supporting UAT or production releases
Good understanding of accessibility and usability principles
High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
