Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for SCADA Commissioning Engineer on a 4 Month Contract, based in Edinburgh
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SCADA Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities at a substation site in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and validating SCADA systems to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant network operation.
Responsibilities:
* Commission, test, and verify SCADA systems and associated equipment
* Ensure correct data mapping, signal validation, and system functionality
* Produce accurate test sheets, commissioning records, and reports
* Liaise with multidisciplinary site teams to support project delivery
* Comply with all safety procedures and industry standards
Requirements
* Substation experience is essential
* Strong background in SCADA commissioning and system integration
* Understanding of communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus)
* Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
* Availability to start Monday 8th December
