At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager to work on a hyperscale datacentre project based in Madrid, Spain. 

Dornan is hiring for a major data centre project in Europe

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most respected MEP contractors. While you'll be hired and supported by Dornan, you will be working with Turner's project team, working alongside top-tier professionals on some of the most advanced builds in the region.   

Current roles are primarily based in Madrid, with future opportunities expected further afield in Europe. Depending on your role, you may be site-based (with relocation support if needed), or offered remote working options, which will be clarified during the interview process.  

Your day to day will include:

Managing & leading a team of Planners (Grad, Jnr, Intermediate, Senior)

Ensuring team is structured and roles & responsibilities are clearly defined

Ensure team and individual deadlines are met

Project Planning using Primavera P6 or ASTA PowerProject

Using Softwares like Excel, Power BI & Bluebeam to producing day to day deliverables

Develop Pre-Construction, Construction and Commissioning Program's as  part of the Dornan project team

Ensure Site walks are caried out on a weekly basis to ensure the planner is familiar with the projects progress

Scheduled and ad hoc discussions with all/any projetc team members around day to day site issues/events

Manage the planning process in terms of developing and managing the project lifecylce in terms of planning & progress, driving the Dornan team to engage

Attend formal and informal project meeting and reviews with all stakeholders, including internal to Dornan, Clients, Suppliers, Service Providers and Subcontractors.

Maintain good relations and facilitate exchange of information between client and Dornan, as well as internally to assure alignment of strategic objectives.

Be an active member in the cross-functional project team, liaising with Commercial Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA, Turnover, and other Functions; identify potential areas of concern and resolve them before they become issues.

What we are looking for:

Advanced user of Primavera P6 or Asta

Solid Mechanical and Electrical construction experience, ideally in data centre projects 

Knowledge and experience of Delay Analysis Techniques 

Knowledge of BIM & Engineering Process particularly at Pre-Construction Stage

Knowledge & understanding of QA handover Process and Commissioning (Cx) at project turnover stage.

Spanish language skills 

Preference for CV's in English
