Job Title: Art / DT Technician - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, Bromley)
Location: Various Secondary Schools across Bromley
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (5 days per week)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Are you a creative, organised, and hands-on individual with a passion for supporting young people in the arts and design? We are looking for an enthusiastic Art / Design & Technology Technician to join our network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Bromley.
About the Role
As an Art / DT Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers and students across the Art and Design Technology departments. You'll help prepare materials, maintain equipment, and create an engaging and inspiring learning environment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
Supporting teachers during art, graphics, or workshop-based sessions
Maintaining and organising classroom resources and stock levels
Ensuring all tools and equipment are safely stored and in good working order
Assisting students in developing their practical skills and creativity
Contributing to displays and exhibitions of student work
About You
We are seeking someone who is:
Creative, practical, and detail-oriented
Confident working with a range of art and DT tools, materials, and technologies
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
A great communicator who enjoys supporting students and teachers alike
Safety-conscious and able to follow school policies and procedures
Previous experience as an Art or DT Technician, or in a similar educational or creative environment, is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
