Job Title: Art / DT Technician - Secondary Schools (Full-Time)
Location: Various Schools across Bexley
Contract: Full-Time, 5 Days per Week
Are you a creative, hands-on individual with a passion for supporting art and design in education? We are seeking an enthusiastic Art / Design Technology Technician to join our team and work across inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Bexley.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in helping students bring their ideas to life - from supporting classroom projects and preparing materials, to maintaining specialist equipment and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organise materials, tools, and equipment for Art and Design Technology lessons.
Support teachers and students during practical sessions.
Maintain and repair tools, machinery, and workshop spaces to ensure health and safety compliance.
Assist with displays, exhibitions, and classroom resources.
Manage stock levels and order materials when required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working within a school Art or DT department (preferred but not essential).
Possesses strong practical and technical skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
Can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Is proactive, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Holds (or is willing to undergo) an Enhanced DBS check.
