EduExec Recruitment is supporting a well-regarded North London secondary school in their search for an experienced and strategic School Business Manager on a permanent and full time basis.
As School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both the day-to-day running and long-term development of the school. You’ll be a fully integrated member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape decisions that influence the school’s success across every department.
Your leadership will span the full operational portfolio – from working with the on site finance team, where you'll lead on budgeting, long-term forecasting, and robust financial controls, to HR management, supported by a external HR and payroll provider, to oversee recruitment, payroll, contracts in line with current legislation and school policies. You’ll oversee estates and premises, ensuring the school’s buildings and grounds are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose, and that all Health & Safety policies are rigorously applied and regularly reviewed by the Estates Manager. Beyond the operational essentials, you’ll have the opportunity to explore income generation, identifying funding bids, lettings opportunities, and strategic partnerships that could benefit the wider school community.
This is a highly visible and varied leadership role, ideal for a current School Business Manager, looking to step into a more strategic role.
