Job Description
Suppleo Education are proud to be working in partnership with a fantastic school who have an amazing opportunity for a School Caretaker. The right candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep of the school grounds. This includes clearing the grounds of all rubbish, leaves and snow / ice as appropriate, and the maintenance of the pond, and ensuring that all fire exit /escape routes are clear and accessible.
The successful candidate will also be doing the following:
* Setting the priorities for maintenance and repairs
* Carrying out basic repairs
* Managing access to the premises and maintaining security
* Cleaning or supervising cleaning
* Planning site use and development
* Championing health and safety around the school, and supervising external contractors
* Managing site staff
Job Specification
Role: School Caretaker
Rates from: £100/day
Located in: Brecon
Start Date: ASAP
Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing
Full-time/Part-time: Full-time
Hours: 8:30-3:30
Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Be able to work flexibly
* Have basic DIY skills
* Be reasonably fit to cope with the lifting and carrying involved
* Right to work in UK
* Two references
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (formerly CRB check) – available via Suppleo Education
