Job Title: School Caretaker - Morning Shift
Location: Abbey Wood, South East London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 11:00am
Rate: £14 - £17 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

Remedy Education is working with a welcoming and supportive school in Abbey Wood who are looking for a School Caretaker to join their team for a morning shift role (7am-11am, Monday to Friday). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and has a keen eye for detail.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Opening the school each morning and ensuring site security
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Conducting daily health & safety and premises checks
Monitoring cleaning standards and supporting cleaning where needed
Reporting hazards and liaising with contractors as necessary
General upkeep of school grounds and facilities
✅ Requirements:
Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or site supervisor role (school-based experience desirable)
Understanding of basic health & safety and safeguarding procedures
Physically fit, reliable, and proactive
A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Ability to work independently and take initiative
