Job Description

Position: School Catering Manager
 Contract Type: Temporary, Part Time

Hours: 8/9am - 2pm (approx. 30 hours per week - term time only)
 Pay: £13.50-£15 per hour + Holiday Pay + Benefits 
 Location: Chigwell, Essex

 Are you an experienced catering professional looking for a rewarding role in a school environment? We're seeking a School Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our busy school kitchen. You'll be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for students and staff, managing a small team, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient catering service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and serve healthy, high-quality meals
Supervise and support kitchen staff
Manage stock levels, food orders and budgets
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
Keep accurate compliance and inspection records About You

Previous catering or food preparation experience
School catering experience desirable
Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is essential
Strong organisational and team leadership skills
