Job Title: School & College Careers Adviser Location: Tees Valley & Darlington Area Salary: Up to £29,172 per annum (FTE) Contract Type: Term Time Only – 3 Days per Week Start Date: September 2025 Join an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” education provider — a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to transforming lives through education and employability. With a presence across the UK and internationally, they partner with governments, schools, and communities to improve educational outcomes through research, consultancy, and direct careers support services from early years to adult learning. ________________________________________ About the Role: We are seeking a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser to work on-site in schools and colleges across the Tees Valley and Darlington area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, working closely with students, staff, and parents to deliver tailored, high-quality careers advice and guidance. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver 1:1 and group careers guidance sessions. • Support Careers Leaders in achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks. • Maintain and update CEIAG Google Classrooms with current Labour Market Information (LMI). • Organise employer talks and careers-related events. • Work with students from all backgrounds, including those with SEND or from disadvantaged groups. • Promote equal opportunities, safeguarding, and inclusivity throughout your practice. ________________________________________ What You’ll Need: • Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (CIAG) – essential. • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting. • Strong knowledge of training, employment, and education pathways. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Experience supporting vulnerable learners and those with SEND. • A clear commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding. ________________________________________ Why Join? • Be part of a purpose-driven, inclusive organisation. • Work with a collaborative and passionate team. • Make a direct impact on young people's futures.
