Job Description
Interaction Education are really pleased to currently be supporting one of our partner schools in Buckinghamshire in their search for a Medical Officer/School Nurse.
This is a sickness cover, ongoing until the return of the current staff member, and the key responsibilities can be found below:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
Manage the medical room and maintain accurate health records.
Administer medication and oversee care plans for students with chronic conditions or allergies.
Liaise with parents, school staff, and external health professionals as required.
Promote health education and contribute to wellbeing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RN or equivalent) or relevant medical qualification.
Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
Experience working with children or young people.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a school or similar environment.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
