An outstanding independent school in Birmingham are seeking a School Nurse. This is a part time role (30 hours per week) covering maternity leave from February 2026. This is a term time only role.
The School prides itself in the excellent care given to its pupils, and their School Nurse is integral to this. The ideal candidate for this role will be a registered Nurse with a kind, caring nature and meticulous attention to detail. They will ideally have experience of working in paediatrics, in particular administering medication and first aid to children on an ad hoc basis as well as to those with chronic and complex medical conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Nursing qualification
* Registered Nurse
* Experience as a Nurse, (in a school setting would be an advantage)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff members
* Knowledge of primary healthcare practices and regulatory requirements
* Competent IT skills
* Sound understanding of safeguarding principles
