Job Title: Chemistry Teacher (or General Science Teacher) Location: Chatham, Kent Pay Rates: Competitive – based on experience Full-Time | November 2025 Start | Until July 2026 Supply Desk are working closely with one of our reputable secondary schools in Chatham, rated Good by Ofsted, to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher (or talented General Science Teacher with strong Chemistry expertise). This is an exciting long-term opportunity starting November 2025, continuing until July 2026, with the potential for extension.  About the Role Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons up to Key Stage 5, inspiring curiosity and confidence in the subject. Teach across Key Stages 3–5, tailoring lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning styles. Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment with strong behaviour management and clear expectations. Use effective Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies to track progress and promote achievement. Contribute to a thriving and collaborative Science Department with access to modern laboratories and excellent resources. The Ideal Candidate Holds QTS or QTLS, with a specialism in Chemistry (or a strong Science background). Experienced in teaching Chemistry to KS4 and ideally KS5 students. Confident classroom practitioner with the ability to engage, challenge, and motivate learners. Committed to fostering a love of science and encouraging students to reach their full potential.
