Science Department
The Science department has recently been refurbished with modern laboratories equipped with the latest technology, digital whiteboards, and practical workspaces. The team of experienced teachers is passionate about delivering an enquiry-based curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will teach general Science at KS3 and specialise in your chosen discipline—Biology, Chemistry, or Physics—at KS4, preparing students effectively for their GCSEs. The department promotes active learning through experiments, digital tools, and real-world applications.
Your Role
You will deliver inspiring and interactive lessons, engage students with practical activities, and support interventions to help all pupils achieve their potential. There will also be opportunities to lead extracurricular science clubs, participate in STEM initiatives, and contribute to broader school events. The school’s structured ECT programme offers weekly mentoring, tailored coaching, and professional development workshops to ensure you receive comprehensive support as you start your teaching career.
Ideal Candidate
You will hold a Science degree and be on track to achieve QTS by July 2025. A strong communicator with an engaging teaching style, you enjoy practical, hands-on learning and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Enthusiasm for science education and a commitment to student success are essential.
