Supply Desk are partnering with a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton to appoint a Science & Maths Teacher from January 2026 through to Easter 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners to inspire students and develop their enthusiasm for learning across both subject areas. The successful candidate will teach Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Possess a degree in Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Have recent experience teaching Science and/or Maths in UK secondary schools.
Be confident teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills.
Show a passion for STEM education and a commitment to raising attainment.
Be adaptable, reflective, and dedicated to supporting the success of all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Science and Maths lessons in line with national curriculum and exam board requirements.
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions when required.
Collaborate with colleagues within the STEM faculty to share best practice and develop the curriculum.
Contribute to STEM enrichment activities and support the wider school community.
