Science Teacher - Alternative Provision Secondary School

Northamptonshire | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-regarded Alternative Provision secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher for a September start.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an educator who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of young people who require a more personalised approach to education.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons to secondary-aged students who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education. The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships, adapt their teaching to meet a range of needs, and create a safe, supportive learning environment where students can thrive.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual students
Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement
Work collaboratively with support staff, senior leaders, and external agencies
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
Experience within an Alternative Provision, PRU, SEMH setting, or working with vulnerable learners is desirable but not essential
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Commitment to helping students achieve positive outcomes
