Science Teacher – Maidstone Area
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Start Date: January 2026 (until May half-term)
Contract: Full-time
Pay: To scale (based on experience)
Are you a dedicated Science Teacher looking for a highly supportive, academically driven school environment?
We’re working with a well-established selective secondary school in Maidstone known for excellent teaching standards, strong student behaviour and achievement, and a “Good” rating from its most recent inspection.
This role is ideal for someone seeking a meaningful term-time contract: full-time from January through to the May half-term, focusing on planning, marking and delivering science lessons. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT ready to shine in a high-expectation setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons (KS3–KS4)
Marking student work and assessments in line with departmental policy
Supporting learners across ability levels to achieve strong outcomes
Working in a structured, high-standard school environment with a motivated student body
Collaborating with the Science department and contributing to the school’s ambition for excellence
✅ What We’re Looking For
QTS (or equivalent) in Science (ECTs welcome)
Good subject knowledge across Science (preferably with KS4 experience)
Strong classroom management and a positive approach to student learning
Able to commit from January through to the May half-term, full-time
Enthusiastic, organised and ready to hit the ground running
