The Role – Science Teacher
As a Science Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to pupils in KS3 and KS4.
Lead on Biology at KS4, with Chemistry and Physics taught to KS3 level.
Inspire students to meet or exceed expected learning progress.
Support the school’s inclusive ethos and contribute to a positive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching.
Have the opportunity to shape the direction of the Science department and curriculum.
About You
To be successful in this Science Teacher role, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A Science-related degree, ideally specialising in Biology.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A creative and adaptive teaching approach to engage students with diverse learning needs.
Experience or understanding of special education practices (advantageous but not essential).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
