We are seeking a Science Teacher to join a dynamic and high-achieving secondary school in Lambeth on a maternity cover from January. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring students in science and contributing to a collaborative school environment.
About the Role:
Start date: January - 1-year maternity contract
Salary: London MPS/UPS
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Has strong subject knowledge in one or more Science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Has experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4, ideally including GCSE.
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Can inspire students, nurture curiosity, and promote academic excellence.
Works well collaboratively and is adaptable to the needs of the school.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations and monitor progress.
Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences to foster curiosity and achievement.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider departmental initiatives.
