Job Description
Horizon Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a welcoming and high-performing secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to develop their practice within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science classes and will be responsible for the full scope of classroom duties, including planning, preparing, teaching, and marking. You will join a collaborative department and contribute to maintaining high academic standards and positive outcomes for students.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 & KS4.
Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations.
Maintain high standards of behaviour using strong, consistent behaviour management strategies.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and its community.
Support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science.
Excellent behaviour management skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of mixed abilities.
Respectful of the school’s Catholic values and ethos.
