We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join a secondary school in Watford for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and well-resourced science department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Physics, and will play an active role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing curiosity and confidence in the subject.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach Physics as a specialism and contribute to the wider Science curriculum
Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to the wider life of the school and the development of the Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge in Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student progress
