I C Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent SEN school in Thetford, which is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist setting that provides a nurturing, person-centred learning environment for secondary-aged pupils with Autism and a range of additional needs. The school is dedicated to helping every learner develop confidence, resilience and independence through a therapeutic and holistic approach to education. The Role You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE), delivering engaging and creative lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner. Working with small class sizes of typically 6–10 pupils, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, provide personalised support and help students achieve both academically and personally. The school places a strong emphasis on integrating therapeutic strategies into everyday teaching, creating an environment where pupils feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * Has experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4. * Has an understanding of, or interest in, supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs. * Can adapt lessons to meet a range of learning styles and abilities. * Is patient, compassionate and resilient, with a genuine passion for inclusive education. * Shares a commitment to promoting confidence, emotional wellbeing and a lifelong love of learning. Previous experience within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from teachers with a genuine interest in specialist education and a willingness to develop their knowledge and skills. What You'll Receive * A full-time, permanent teaching position from September 2026. * Small class sizes, allowing for personalised teaching and stronger student relationships. * A supportive and collaborative team committed to achieving the best outcomes for every learner. * Ongoing professional development and training in specialist SEN and therapeutic approaches. * The opportunity to build a long-term career within a school where wellbeing, inclusion and individual progress are at the heart of everything they do. * A rewarding role where you can make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.
