Science Teacher – Full Time Position Start Date: September 2025 Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Inner London Salary: MPS/UPS Inner London Pay Scale About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Science Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking department from September 2025. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a strong commitment to fostering curiosity and engagement in students, enabling them to develop both a deep understanding of scientific concepts and a passion for discovery. As a Science Teacher at our school, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team, delivering a rich curriculum and ensuring that all students are provided with the tools they need to succeed academically. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality science lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels. * Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, ensuring that each individual reaches their full potential. * Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development. * Collaborate with colleagues within the science department and across the school to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning. * Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extra-curricular activities. * Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement. Essential Criteria: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching science in a secondary school setting. * Proven ability to work effectively within a mainstream secondary school environment. * Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in helping students develop both academically and personally. * Strong subject knowledge across the three main areas of science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles. Desirable: * Experience teaching science at KS4 and preparing students for GCSE examinations. * Ability to contribute to the development of extra-curricular science activities and clubs. Salary: This role offers a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS Inner London Pay Scale, commensurate with experience.
