Bimingham Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate) Contract Type: Full-Time,Permanent  Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) Essential Requirement: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Are you an outstanding Science teacher with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and raising student achievement? We’re working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school on the East side of Birmingham that is seeking a high-calibre Science teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is more than just a teaching role. The school is actively looking for someone who can contribute strategically to the development of the Science department, and there is potential for progression into a leadership role, such as Head of Department, in the near future for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential) Inspire, challenge and support pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning Monitor and assess student progress, implementing interventions where needed Lead by example in your teaching practice and departmental collaboration Support wider school initiatives, enrichment, and whole-school improvement The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential A strong academic background in Science with specialist knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools Evidence of excellent outcomes and student progress Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to departmental leadership (desirable) A clear ambition to progress in your career, with a vision for raising standards across the department If you are interested - please click APPLY and attach your CV All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
