Head of Science Location: Kensington An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and strategic Head of Science to lead a thriving department at a dynamic secondary school in Kensington. This is a crucial leadership role, responsible for setting the vision, driving academic standards, and overseeing the curriculum, teaching, and learning within the Science department. The successful candidate will empower both students and staff to achieve their full potential in the sciences. The Role The Head of Science will: * Provide visionary leadership and management for the Science department (covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). * Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and enrichment initiatives across all key stages. * Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring consistently high standards. * Lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated Science teachers, including performance management. * Utilise data effectively to drive student progress and implement targeted interventions. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking an outstanding Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS) who: * Has significant experience in a leadership role within a Science department, ideally as 2iC or Head of Department. * Possesses a proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes in Science. * Is a strategic thinker with a clear vision for the future of Science education. * Demonstrates exceptional communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
