Job Description

I am working with a successful and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, who cater for students with severe learning difficulties and Autism. The school seek a Science Teacher to work with their Secondary aged pupils, starting in the new academic year.   You will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs. You’ll be responsible for guiding students through a variety of Science qualifications, from Entry Level to GCSE or equivalent, helping them achieve personal success and build confidence in their abilities. About The Successful Candidate: Experience or strong interest in working within an SEN setting. Must be a Fully Qualified Teacher with an interest in inclusive education. A caring and patient approach; always putting student wellbeing and emotional development at the heart of your teaching. Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning styles and abilities. Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment. Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Support students in achieving a range of accredited Science qualifications. Collaborate with the wider SEN team, parents, and external professionals to support each student’s development. Promote a positive learning experience that nurtures curiosity, confidence and resilience.
