Location: Westminster
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Second in Charge of Science to join a vibrant secondary school in Westminster. This role is perfect for an ambitious Science teacher looking to take the next step in their leadership journey, supporting the Head of Science in driving academic excellence and fostering a dynamic learning environment across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
The Role
The Second in Charge of Science will:
* Assist the Head of Department in curriculum planning, development, and assessment.
* Support the line management and professional development of Science teachers.
* Contribute to monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning across the department.
* Lead specific departmental initiatives and projects (e.g., STEM clubs, intervention programmes).
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a passionate Science teacher with QTS/QTLS who:
* Possesses strong subject knowledge across the sciences and a proven track record of effective teaching.
* Demonstrates leadership potential, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach.
