We are currently recruiting for two roles on behalf of a well-respected specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school that operates across two sites in Stockport and Old Trafford. This is a unique opportunity for passionate and resilient two Science Teachers to join a dedicated team committed to supporting pupils with complex needs.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated science lessons to secondary-aged pupils who have a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work across both sites, providing consistency and continuity in the science curriculum. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and a flexible, nurturing approach to teaching and behaviour management.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver inspiring lessons in line with the national science curriculum
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support pupil progress and well-being
Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching science at secondary level
Previous experience working in an SEMH or alternative provision setting is highly desirable
Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
