Science Teacher
3
This medium-sized, mixed-gender Special School is located on the edge of the stunning New Forest and caters to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a supportive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment designed to help students re-engage with education, develop social skills, and make strong academic progress despite past challenges.
Pupils may face a variety of complex needs such as anxiety, ADHD, ASD, attachment disorders, and experiences of trauma. As a result, the school adopts a trauma-informed and relational approach.
The successful teacher will be responsible for the planning and delivery of KS3, KS4, and GCSE Science across the school. This includes adapting the curriculum to suit a range of learning abilities, supporting students working toward Entry Level, Functional Skills, and GCSE Science qualifications. A flexible and creative teaching style, along with patience, resilience, and a passion for inclusive education, is essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science teacher who is motivated by helping vulnerable young people succeed. The role is supported by a strong and experienced leadership team, regular CPD opportunities, and a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
