As a Science Teacher, you will play an important role in inspiring students to explore science through experiments, discussions, and projects. Your support will help students build confidence in their skills and inspire them to enjoy learning science every day.
Science Teacher Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging science lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics in line with the curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of science.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles and abilities.
Set clear learning objectives and monitor student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills through experiments and hands-on activities.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, attainment, and behaviour.
Skills & Requirements for a Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification is essential.
A degree in a science-related subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or similar.
Experience teaching Science in a school setting is preferred.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
