TeacherActive is working in partnership with a popular secondary school in Taunton to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Careers Teacher with a science specialism for a full-time teaching role starting in September 2025. This role is also ideal for candidates who have recently completed a PGCE and are ready to secure their first teaching position.

The Role:
As a science teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience. You will contribute to department planning, assess student progress, and help foster a love of science within the classroom.
This position is well suited for an Early Careers Teacher with a science specialism or someone who has recently completed a PGCE, looking to make a strong start in their teaching career.
What We’re Looking For:
A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or working towards QTS)
A science specialism, ideally in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Recently completed a PGCE or currently undertaking one
Strong subject knowledge and a proactive, reflective approach to teaching
Excellent classroom and behavioural management skills
