Are you an enthusiastic Science Teacher eager to inspire the next generation of scientists?
GSL Education are currently recruiting a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Chesterfield.
As a Science Teacher, you will lead engaging lessons across all Key Stages, nurturing scientific curiosity and academic success. You will become a valued member of a collaborative science department that strives for high achievement and continuous development.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics tailored to different learning needs.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations using structured and differentiated approaches.
Assess, track, and report on student progress with clear and actionable feedback.
Support curriculum development and participate in departmental improvement initiatives.
Maintain alignment with national curriculum standards and uphold school policies.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements:
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialist in Science.
Possess strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, and confidence teaching across all sciences.
Previous classroom experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
Effective communication, behaviour management, and organisational skills.
Flexibility to respond to a variety of classroom and learner needs.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
