Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our department. The successful candidate will teach across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and assess engaging, differentiated lessons in Science for Key Stages 3-5.
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring solid foundations in scientific principles and practical skills.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to students to support their academic growth.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop resources, share best practices, and maintain consistency in assessment.
Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment, catering to students of diverse needs and abilities.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and science enrichment opportunities (e.g. clubs, competitions).
Person Specification / What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent) and a degree in a science subject.
Proven experience teaching Science at KS4; experience at KS5 preferred.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering enquiry, confidence and resilience.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
