Job Title: Science Teacher – SEN

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Science Teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons to small groups of autistic students. This role requires creativity, flexibility, and a deep understanding of the unique learning profiles of neurodivergent young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver adapted Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following a highly differentiated curriculum
Use a range of communication strategies and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
Contribute to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Experience working with children with autism and/or additional needs (school or alternative settings)
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
